Prices start at ₹9,99,900 and reach ₹17,99,900 before extra-cost paint. All variants share one petrol engine.
The Bayon gives Hyundai another crossover between the Venue and Creta. Launched on 26 October, it comes in seven trims, but the advertised starting price applies to the HX2 manual. The least expensive automatic is the HX5 iVT at ₹13,84,800. All prices are ex-showroom.
Moving up the range adds convenience features and, eventually, driver-assistance technology. Engine output stays the same, whichever trim or transmission you choose.
Where it fits
The Bayon measures 4,245mm long with a 2,600mm wheelbase. Compared with the Venue, that is an extra 250mm in length and 80mm between the axles. It gives the Bayon a distinct place in Hyundai’s line-up, though dimensions alone cannot establish how comfortable its rear seat is.
Unlike the Creta, the Bayon has no turbo-petrol or diesel choice at launch. Hyundai’s iVT is a continuously variable automatic; it is an alternative transmission, not a different engine.
Where the Bayon sits on price
For automatic buyers, the Bayon’s starting price is much closer to the Creta, Elevate and Victoris than the headline ₹9,99,900 suggests.

Comparison notes
Petrol automatic ex-showroom reference prices, checked 26 October 2026; rounded to two decimals. Venue: Gurgaon dealer list, 3 October. Creta: Hyundai Bengaluru. Victoris and Elevate: Delhi. Creta’s bar is iVT; the separate diamond is King turbo DCT. Excludes paint extras, Knight/Black editions, N Line, AWD and strong hybrids. Bars show endpoints, not a variant at every price.
The Bayon HX5 iVT starts at about ₹13.85 lakh, roughly level with the Elevate CVT’s entry price. The cited Creta iVT starts about ₹65,000 higher, while the Victoris 6AT begins about ₹44,000 lower. These are comparisons of the regional reference lists shown, not local dealer quotations.
The upper Venue automatics overlap the lower Bayon automatics. At about ₹16.54 lakh for HX8 iVT or ₹18 lakh for HX10 iVT, the Bayon also competes for budgets that buy Creta, Elevate and Victoris automatics. Price alone cannot settle the choice: equipment, seating space and the way each car drives still matter.
One engine across seven trims

Six-speed manual across all seven trims. The iVT automatic begins at HX5.
Equipment follows the trim
Even HX2 includes six airbags, stability control, rear parking sensors, tyre-pressure monitoring and rear AC vents. It does not get a touchscreen. HX3 brings a 10.25-inch screen and reversing camera; HX3+ adds an electric sunroof. The entry car also has a tyre-mobility kit rather than a spare wheel.
The HX5 adds the automatic option, climate control and connected-car functions. A panoramic sunroof begins at HX6. The HX8 is where the 360-degree camera, ventilated front seats and rear disc brakes arrive.
HX10 brings twin 12.3-inch displays, Bose audio and ADAS. Its generative-AI voice assistant works in English only. Some assistance features, including adaptive cruise with stop-and-go, are restricted to HX10 iVT. ADAS still requires an attentive driver. Hyundai’s reference to engineering for a five-star crash result is an internal assessment, not an awarded independent rating.
Where the prices overlap
An HX8 automatic costs ₹11,000 less than an HX10 manual. In this price band, the choice is between more equipment and an automatic, not a higher engine output.

The HX5 iVT is the starting point if an automatic is essential; the HX8 adds comfort and parking equipment without requiring the flagship. Whether either justifies its price against a Creta needs a comparison of the actual variants, followed by a drive. Ride quality, real-world fuel economy and rear-seat comfort remain questions for a road test.
