A home trial can reveal the awkward door gap or tight entrance that a brochure cannot.

Ask the dealer to bring the test-drive car home, if they can. Park it in your usual spot, open the driver’s door and get out. If a pillar leaves you squeezing through a narrow gap, that is worth finding out before paying the booking amount.
The space you actually use
Take a tape measure
Measure between the actual obstacles: walls, pillars, the gate and anything stored in the bay. Painted lines may not show all the space you can use. Compare the narrowest points with the exact car’s dimensions. The Taigun and Kushaq India brochures provide starting specifications. Use dimensions for the exact model and variant you are considering.
Can everyone get in and out?
Take whoever will regularly travel with you. With the car safely parked, try the doors and lift a bag into the boot. Check the space behind and above the tailgate throughout its opening movement. Mirrors need room too. Establish whether the brochure width includes them, then measure the car with its mirrors in their normal driving position.
Getting through the gate
A car may fit the bay yet struggle with the turn into it. Check the gate, aisle, pillars and the space swept by the body’s corners. Be careful when comparing turning figures: Volkswagen quotes a turning radius for the Taigun. Diameter is twice the radius for the same circle, so the two labels cannot be used interchangeably.
Keep the trial unhurried
Move slowly and keep people clear. Anyone helping must remain visible and outside the car’s path, never squeezed between the car and a wall. Stop if you cannot judge the gap. Once parked, check that everyone can get out comfortably without needing to move the car again.
Take this checklist downstairs
| Check | Measure or try | Look beyond |
|---|---|---|
| Bay | Usable length and width | Painted lines |
| Entrance | Gate and turning space | The parked footprint |
| Sides | Mirrors and door opening | Body width |
| Rear / above | Tailgate and loading room | Closed-car dimensions |
Leave usable room for people and belongings, not merely a gap around the body.
If the trial is awkward, compare a smaller car in the same space before committing.
A practical fit check, not an architectural standard or a guarantee of clearance. Check the exact car and follow its manual.
